Hello! Welcome to my website.  My name is Laurie Adams, and this website functions as both my personal and business website.

I no longer am seeking web clients as I am now a fulltime medical transcriptionist. I guess I am going to have to get a different domain name than "lakedesigner" :) I recently gave up most of my sites except for 2, the Kiwanis bicycle program and the City of Mount Vernon Police site. Eventually I will give those up as well, but for now just have not been able to part with them.

The second part of this website deals with more personal pages -- topics I enjoy or I am interested in. One such topic is my genealogy -- much data and pictures are posted here so that others in my family may view some of the work I have done.

I became the 'lakemaiden' as I grew up on a lake and was constantly in the water!  The name has grown up with me, and although may seem unusual to use for a website, it did prove to give me good ideas for graphics and also gave me a name no one else had already used on the internet!
